3 Saved at Saturday's Soul-Winning

This year I have been encouraging our church members to join me for soul-winning on Saturday afternoons. This Saturday however, I was feeling somewhat discouraged and really just wanted to stay home and do nothing. If it had not been for the fact that I had made an appointment to meet with a man named Paulo I probably would have stayed home. Paulo has been the only church member who has joined me to go soul-winning and has been a good encouragement to me.
We made plans to visit a widow who attends our church but has not been in the service the past 2 weeks. After this visit we would go house-to-house, hand out gospel booklets and talk to people about salvation. We started out talking to about 12 children, which instantly brightened my mood. These kids were so thrilled to receive the gospel booklets we were handing out that a few of them ran off to find their friends and bring them to us so they could get a booklet too.
We ended up standing on the side of the road talking to these kids and many passers by. This turned out to be a brilliant plan. I wish I could take credit for it but it was obviously the leading of the Holy Spirit. A new group of kids showed up to receive their booklets so I took a moment to talk to them about being saved. Most of them had no idea how to be saved. After a few moments I turned it over to Paulo and asked him to finish explaining while I talked to another passer by. He came to me a few minutes later and told me that 3 of the young boys had accepted Christ as their savior! Amen! I had just finished talking to a man named Max who was obviously convicted about his need for salvation. Though he did not receive Christ as savior a good seed was planted in his life. We finished the day with an interesting conversation with a Jehovah Witness. He really had no idea what the Bible says but only what he has heard other people say about the Bible. He was really tripped up when I showed him John 1. I left him with a gospel of John and Romans and some really difficult questions concerning Christ. I am praying that he will be saved as well.
Please pray:
For our efforts to grow our village church both spiritually and numerically
For encouragement. It is easy to get discouraged in ministry work.
For the 3 boys (Alex, Bossi, Jorran) who were saved.
For additional funds for our village church. We really need to finish fencing in our property, run a water line to connect to the water mains and add a 12 x 20 addition to the building. Pray that God would provide the $8,000 or so needed.
