Last Sunday we were privileged to have a missionary at our church. David Likama is a Tanzanian national who is going to Mozambique Africa to start new churches. He spent the past year there learning Portuguese and helping in a local Baptist church. It was the first time our people had met a national who was going to a different country. During the question and answer time one of our men asked him, “There is so much need here in Tanzania, why are you going to another country?” David gave a good reply stating, we don’t question God, we just obey him; and who can understand the ways of God. Good answer!
I am praying that our church will see the vision to send missionaries to other countries to preach the gospel. I am also praying that they will decide to support him. I believe that if our people allowed God to work through them that we could support this missionary for 5,000 shillings per month (about $3.75). That would be about 1% of what he is trying to raise. I would like to increase that but for now we will take baby steps.
Pray for our church to grow in faith and number. Pray for me as I preach about Nicodemus tomorrow. John 3:3 "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
